Watched Melancholia last night, which put me in a good mood. Which is odd, especially since it made me think of marriage, which I generally try not to do, as it has a habit of depressing me.
But it didn’t. I let myself think about marriage—specifically about the possibility of one day being married—and I felt all right.
And the theme, from the opera Tristan and Isolde, ignited a rather strong desire to listen to only classical/opera music, which is what I’ve been doing all day. I’ve been trying to gather some recommendations and have, through various means, found Satie, Debussy, as well as some music from the operas La Boheme and Castor et Pollux which I quite like.
This is all quite different for me, but not unwelcomed.
